Hello, my name is Hannah Brown. I’m a freelance illustrator and designer. I’ve always been adaptable and like to work in a variety of styles. I've never liked the idea of being tied down to one single method or “look” when it came to my art.
For the past few years, I’ve been primarily freelancing and selling my own greeting cards under my own brand Tooth and Claw. I love working on Tooth and Claw because it allows me to have a place where I can use more of a whimsical storybook style of illustration. Since 2019 I’ve found myself expanding into pet portraits and graphic design work for local companies.
My goal for 2022 is to delve more into concept development and storyboarding. I've been working on a pitch called "The Reckless 7". It’s put a large focus on sketching and studying storytelling. It’s been pushing me to develop a more realistic style that translates well for entertainment like film or games. A lot of my inspiration for this personal project is based on wild west motifs and older films that inspired westerns such as 7 Samurai.
When I’m not working on commission or on my personal projects you can find me outside in the forest or at the seaside. Time outside has always given me new perspectives and ideas. I also love cooking new recipes and learning how to do things from scratch like home brewing. Of course, I also love to share whatever I make with friends and family.
